Entry fee: $25.00, non refundable. Checks made payable to NSU MENC
Awards: Three cash awards, $400.00, $200.00 and $100.00 to the top three contestants. In addition, the opportunity may be extended to the top award winner to perform his/her movement of a concerto with the Aberdeen University/Civic Orchestra or the NSU Symphonic Band, awarded at the discretion of the NSU ensemble directors.

The competition will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2008. Contestants will be adjudicated by music professionals, including NSU faculty.

2nd round The 2nd round will be in the form of a formal public recital. Contestants who advance to this round will perform the movement or part of their work IN ITS ENTIRETY. Necessary time will be allowed. The judges will be in the audience and will not be screened.
The final recital is open to the public, and families are encouraged to attend.
