Elections for the Student Association are held in March. Petitions must first be picked up in the Student Association office prior to elections. One hundred signatures must be obtained in order to run for president and Vice President. Fifty signatures must be obtained in order to run for senator positions. In addition, students wishing to run for the Student Association must also sign a form stating they have a 2.0 GPA. The form also gives the Vice President of academic affairs permission to check their GPA's. Potential senators must read the Student Association constitution. Attendance at weekly senate meetings is also necessary in order to keep your position as student senator. Senators must also have one office hour per week in the student association office. They must also serve on at least one committee which will be appointed by the president at the beginning of each year.
